The Rally To Restore Sanity and/or Fear was hosted by Jon Stewart (The Daily Show) and Stephen Colbert (The Colbert Report). Over 300,000 people showed up, while the original “expected turnout” was only 60,000. All of the bus lines, metro transportation and streets were absolutely flooded with people all over D.C. Residents of the area had said that they have never seen chaos like that before. Instead of 3 or 4 people at each bus stop, there were lines of over 20 people. Rather than paying for your ticket and hopping on a Metro, you had to wait for 3 or 4 of the trains to go by in order to find one that had just enough room for more people.
